Call for Panel Members: "Gendered Empires": a special session at the conference

This session will explore gender and gendered realities in imperial contexts from a wide range of perspectives. We welcome submissions from all branches of the social sciences, humanities, as well as the arts. Graduate students are encouraged to participate. Papers will be considered on related themes and topics from a wide range of perspectives. Presenters are encouraged to interpret the themes of this session broadly and innovatively and may explore any historical period, with any geographic focus.

Papers will be considered on related themes and topics from a wide range of perspectives. 500 word abstracts should be submitted as e-mail attachments to the organising committee in English, Castilian, German or French by 25 July 2008. The conference languages will be English and Castilian.
