Erasmus Teaching Staff Mobility Grants
The Erasmus teaching staff mobility action enables teaching staff of higher education institutions to spend a teaching period between 1 day - or at least 5 teaching hours - and 6 weeks at a higher education institution in another participating country.
The teaching assignment must be carried out in a higher education institution holding an Erasmus University Charter. It is based on inter-institutional agreements between the sending and receiving higher education institutions or an agreement between the higher education institution and the enterprise concerned.
The maximum grant amount that may be expected is 800 € / week.
Eligibility:
- The program is open to the participation of the "LLP" countries: Member States of the European Union (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, The Netherlands, and the United Kingdom), the 3 European Economic Area countries (Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway) and the candidate countries (Turkey).
- The participating people must be nationals of one of the countries participating in LLP, or having an official status in Hungary (permanent residents, refugees, stateless persons).
Please note that based on the information I received from Tempus Public Foundation, the Hungarian contact point for Erasmus, not only professors, but also PhD students can benefit from the Erasmus Teaching Staff Mobility funds. Any applicant for this type of Erasmus grant, however, has to have an employment contract with Kozep-europai Egyetem or has to be able to submit official confirmation of their teaching activities at CEU signed by the respective department head.
- The grant is intended as a contribution to travel and subsistence costs, and does not cover all the actual expenses incurred. The grant does not affect other financial support (except any other support from the European Union, see Mobility Principles attached). The amount depends on the country visited and the length of the teaching period abroad.
- Priority should be given to candidates who participate for the first time in the Erasmus program at CEU.
Application:
- Please submit the completed and signed application form (see attached) to the Erasmus Office by 30th September, 2010. Please note that the "Teaching Program" (page 3 of the application form) has to be approved by sending and host institutions prior to submission.
Evaluation:
- Applications will be evaluated based on the attached ERASMUS TEACHING STAFF SELECTION CRITERIA.
- Results should be expected by mid October 2010.
- Awards are subject to availability of funds.
